Sponsoring On-Campus Events

Throughout the school year, employers will be recruiting students at WWU. To gain attention, and maybe favor, it is advisable that employers consider whether they have “name recognition” with students. Ask yourself, “Do students associate our company as a desirable place to work? Do students remember our company name and seek us out?”

Employers successful in recruiting top candidates know it’s important to have good name recognition with students. These employers may sponsor events, speak to student clubs, host information sessions (with free food J) or participate in a number of opportunities available to you on campus.

The Career Services Center (CSC) at WWU organizes many events on campus that need employer sponsorship. Some events are advertised to all students on campus, while others may focus on specific student interest groups. Financial support of these events not only helps us but also improves your name recognition on campus through event publicity and materials distributed to participants.

Some of the events where your name could be publicized are described below. Many other opportunities exist and interested employers should contact Effie Eisses at: effie.eisses@wwu.edu or by phone at: 360.650.3203.
