Procedures For On-Campus Recruitment
Back | Home | WWU Home

In order to participate in On-Campus Interviews, graduating students and alumni must be registered for career services. There is no charge for students graduating in Fall 2007, Winter, Spring, Summer of 2008; alumni must pay a $35 fee per quarter, making them eligible for services on a basis similar to current graduating students.

Standard Interviews - Most interviews follow this procedure. A copy of your resume is normally required at the time you sign up for an interview, to be turned in at the Recruitment Services desk. Resumes should be "originals" on good bond paper to represent you well.  Note that a separate resume is required for every interview.

Preselect Interviews - Employers "select" interviewees based on their review of application materials candidates submit ahead -- usually two weeks prior to a scheduled interview date. Public accounting firms usually prefer this format, but occasionally other employers choose this option as well. Employers may request a variety of materials for review, including a resume, cover letter, unofficial transcript, application or personal data form, etc. Some employers require all of these items; others only want a resume. It will save you time and money to request one copy of your transcript from the Registrar's Office and make yourself several good copies to have ready. Keep in mind that it often takes several days to get a transcript and each one costs you $7.
