We are looking to hire throughout the Northwest, with definite openings in Seattle, Portland, Anchorage and Honolulu. And possible openings in Missoula, Billings, Helena, Boise, Bend, Eugene, Medford, Salem, Bellevue, Everett, Kennewick, Spokane, and Tacoma. As an Internal Revenue Agent, you’ll utilize forensic accounting techniques, you'll be a proactive decision-maker, working with customers, businesses, CFOs, CEOs and the legal and financial communities. You'll leverage the latest in computers, telecommunications and data management systems. You'll display an impeccable knowledge of changing tax laws and accounting practices, as well as various types of businesses and industries. You will interface with taxpayers, CPAs, business executives, charitable, educational and other tax-exempt organizations, pension attorneys, actuaries and more. Your work will be to educate, assist, counsel, analyze and more. The pay is very competitive with college grads with a bachelor’s degree and no experience starting at a GS-7 grade level (@$40K) (automatic promotion to GS-9 after 1 year and GS-11 after 1 more year) and those with Master’s degree or more experience potentially starting at a GS-9 (@$49k) (automatic promotion to GS-11 after 1 year) or GS-11 (@$59K) with promotion potential to a GS-13 (From @$83K – over $100K) and that’s without changing your job, but there are opportunities to go into management or other areas of the Service and reach even higher grades. We offer excellent paid training that will provide you with the knowledge and skills to be successful in the job. Our program is an 18 month to two year program, a combination of classroom instruction and on the job training. |
