Other Resources:
- GENERAL INFORMATION Your international career won’t happen by accident. Here are some websites to help you learn as much as you can about employers, employment outlook, job search skills, geographical locations, visa and permit requirements, and living conditions.
- TEACHING ABROAD Teaching is one of the most common international employment options for recent Western graduates. Many English language teaching positions do not require certification or a specific major.
- WORKING ABROAD Entry level positions are competitive. Build your resume through international internships, Peace Corps, teaching abroad, short-term work and/or other entry level international experience.
- INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAMS Internships can offer professional international experience. NOTE: many of these programs charge tuition, enrollment and/or other fees.
- INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS Unlike the Peace Corps, these are short-term, unpaid, and volunteers may be responsible for transportation, housing, fees and other expenses.
