Testimonials
If you've had a positive experience with the Career Services Center, we would like to know about it. Thank you for emailing Ms. Lisa Megard at Lisa.Megard@wwu.edu with your comments.
Communication Major
I recently made an appointment with a career counselor to help me with my resume and letter of intent for the portfolio needed to apply to the Communication Department. THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I received the acceptance letter from the department yesterday. I walked out of the Career Center that day and felt so much better about my resume and letter of intent (and a lot more confident that I had created what the department was looking for). It was exactly what I needed.
General Studies Major
The Career Services Center has offered great help when needed. It is probably the friendliest and most efficient service on campus.
Biology/Anthropology Major
My career counselor recommended that I join LinkedIn as well as contact WWU alumni who might work in companies where I was interested in working. I found my current job with Biolife Plasma Services on LinkedIn. The job is great and the company is excellent with lots of room for future upward movement as well as raises in pay.
Business Administration/MIS Major
The Career Services Center is wonderful. Susan Anderson was my main go-to since my sophomore year and I recommend her to everyone.
Teacher Certification/Elementary Education
I attended the majority of the resume, interview, and career fairs offered by the Career Center. Preparing for interviews in a calm, supportive environment made the real interviews much less nerve racking. The Career Center provided fantastic services and is staffed with very knowledgeable professionals who not only know what they are doing, but also have great connections. After twelve interviews within two months of graduating I was offered three positions and am teaching in a fantastic school district in southwest Washington.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Communication/Journalism Major
The Career Services Center was helpful as an undergraduate and continues to be a great resource as I search for post-graduate employment. The JOBB Board was a great tool and helped me to narrow my job search.
