The pay is very competitive with college grads with a bachelor’s degree and no experience starting at a GS-7 grade level (@$40K) (automatic promotion to GS-9 after 1 year and GS-11 after 1 more year) and those with Master’s degree or more experience potentially starting at a GS-9 (@$49k) (automatic promotion to GS-11 after 1 year) or GS-11 (@$59K) with promotion potential to a GS-13 (From @$83K – over $100K) and that’s without changing your job, but there are opportunities to go into management or other areas of the Service and reach even higher grades.
