About the CSD Special & Rehabilitation Services Career Fair

Sponsored by WWU Career Services and the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, this event provides an opportunity for employers of Speech-Language Pathologists and Special Education Teachers to meet students at all levels in their educational process. Attending students may be interested in employment, internships or information on these professions. In addition, undergraduate students interested in audiology, occupational and physical therapies are also being invited to meet with participating employers.

Amenities

This year the fair is located in the Viking Union Multi-Purpose Room of the student union -- a lovely room overlooking Bellingham Bay!  At the fair we will provide signage and a 3' x 6' table.  Box lunches will be available at 11:00 ina separate section of the room.

Promotion

Your company or organization will be included in our pre-event publicity and a Directory of Employers provided to students attending the fair.  You will also have an opportunity to place an ad in the career fair section of the Western Front student newspaper.  To further promote your company, we suggest you donate something for a door prize!

Parking

Parking will be available on campus with passes provided upon arrival. Lot location will be sent with confirmation approximately one week prior to the event. University vans will provide transportation for cargo and passengers to and from the event location.

Registration Fees

• Registration Fee - $80

Fee includes 1 parking pass, two box lunches per employer, a 3’ x 6’ table and signage.

There can be no refunds for cancellations made within one week of event.

Event Confirmation

Confirmation information will be sent as expeditiously as possible and at least one week prior to the event.

The Career Services Center may need to be selective when determining which employers are represented at special events such as career fairs.  Decisions will be made in a fair and equitable manner after considering factors such as space availability, student interest in employer/industry, industry balance and employer position within its industry.
